What is Imago Relationship Therapy and Why Does it Work?

Romantic love is the way our unconscious seeks to restore the feeling of joyful aliveness we felt as a child. In pursuit of this goal, we unknowingly seek relationships with people who emotionally resemble our primary caretakers in both positive and negative ways-we call this finding our Imago Match. (Imago comes from the Latin word for image). All of this often creates confusion and disillusionment-a power struggle. Fortunately, embedded in this disillusionment lies everything your relationship needs for healing and growth. Becoming aware of this hidden agenda helps us to understand that conflict is growth trying to happen. In this Workshop, theories and tools will be presented to transform your relationship, providing healing and growth.

The Imago Theory of relationships helps us to understand nature's hidden agenda for individual growth as we go from Romantic Love to the Power Struggle. Becoming aware of nature's plan can help us to understand that conflict is actually growth trying to happen!

Who Should Attend?

This intensive workshop is for married and unmarried couples who would like to rediscover the joy and spiritual potential of being together while using their relationship for personal growth and change.

The workshop is appropriate for you if:

• You want to enrich a good relationship.
• You are beginning a new relationship that you would like to keep.
• You are in a difficult relationship and want to resolve conflicts.
• You are near breakup and want to decide if the relationship can be saved.

Workshop Description:

The workshop includes lectures, guided imagery exercises, written exercises, partner’s dialogue and communication processes. A workbook is provided for your use during and after the workshop. While you are invited to share with the group to help build a supportive atmosphere, you are not pressured into unwelcome self-disclosure. Partners are encouraged to share privately with each other. Confidentiality is emphasized to create a safe and comfortable environment.

The goals of this Workshop are to transform your relationship through:

• Understanding what is really going on in your relationship.
• Learning communication techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
• Practice new behaviors with your partner.
• Positive visualization and imagery.
• Personal development plans for your relationship after the workshop
  

Reservation Information

Reservations are limited to 8 couples.
Cost is $650.00 per couple; this includes tuition, two workshop manuals and refreshments.
Half of payment is due at time reservation is made to hold your spot.
